		<description>Here in Arizona, xerescaping is promoted as a means to conserve water. Some desert landscaping is artful, but often it is used merely to escape mowing. Lawns are cooling; something to be appreciated, but Mowing-to-Growing seems to me to be a better use of both land and water.
