I live in Detroit an currently farm 1.5 acres.  Last year I quit teaching to farm for a living.  It pays the bills for me and others are doing significantly more large scale urban farming(there are over a dozen half to 3 acre farms selling or sharing food in our city).
No we are not Walmart sized but significant, in fact that&#039;s the best thing about it -that we are not a big box thing...we&#039;re a movement, a mosaic, a group of growers regenerating our broken city!
I thought David Whitford would have seen that since he was here in Detroit.</description>
