DJ Cavem’s describes his plot at the East Side Growers Collective Garden.
DJ Cavem is an international performer having performed in Africa, Europe and throughout the United States
DJ Cavem is an Eco Cultivator at Blue and Yellow Logic. Denver business dedicated to teaching urban farming & environmental sustainability. What does that big word mean-environmental sustainability? In this instance it is about teaching urban citizens the art of nurturing the earth in an urban environment. It is about how to grow food in an urban setting to help reduce hunger, provide “green jobs”reduce the cost of living and to build positive community relationships.
Blue and Yellow Logic transforms empty lots in the urban community into collective gardens where local citizens can come and grow their own produce. Urban farming is a community and family activity; a way to keep our youth off the streets and interact in our communities in a positive and supportive manner.

DJ Cavem supports Blue & Yellow logic by teaching garden development and organic gardening. The goal is to teach self-empowerment through food production, better eating and health practices and community cohesiveness and activism. Here is a video of the 2007 Brown Sugah Fest Health panel featuring DJ Cavem and other Denver community Health activist working with youth around health and the environment.
