Urban Farm campaign jointly organized by the fashion brand Jack & Jill and the fashion magazine Nylon

A host of Korean celebrities including Jang Geun Suk, Bani, Bae Doo Na, Clazziquai, Park Shi Hoo, Park Shi Yeon, Park Jung Ah, Secret and Lee Si Young recently took part in a eco-campaign photoshoot for NYLON.

This photo-shoot was jointly organized by casual wear brand, J & J (JACK & JILL) together with NYLON to promote the idea of having your own urban farm.

First seeds sown for new farmer crop in Richmond BC

It may be the first farm school in North America, but it certainly won’t be the last.

That’s the views of Kwantlen professor Kent Mullinex and veteran Richmond farmer and councillor Harold Steves, a mere five weeks after Richmond Farm School students turned over their first sod.

Both Mullinex and Steves firmly believe the one-year program — run by Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s Richmond campus — could eventually spread throughout the province and spawn a generation of community farmers, growing crops on small non-industrialized farms.
