Urbanana hopes to rethink urban agriculture with its concept of a vertical banana plantation. The see-through green house is designed by SOA Architects, and hopes to be located in European cities like Paris. Bananas are usually low in supply in Europe and are considered as exotic due to climate and transportation constraints.

The glass architecture could be integrated among city and residential buildings; and farm different varieties of bananas. The building provides maximum transparency to let in as much sunlight possible. The structure will have six floors, including an exhibition area, research laboratory, and public content to promote urban agriculture.
